Mirogoj cemetery photo

The Mirogoj Cemetery is considered to be one of the most beautiful cemetery parks in Europe and, because of its design, numbers among the more noteworthy landmarks in the City of Zagreb. The cemetery was created in 1876 on a plot of land owned by the linguist Ljudevit Gaj. It is located today in the Gornji Grad - Medveščak city district, on Mirogojska Road and Hermann Bollé Street. The Arcades of Mirogoj cemetery - arcades with domes, the Church of Christ the King and mortuary, make a fine example of urbanistic function in architecture.
