Town Zabok

Name of city Zabok appeared in document firs time in 1335 . in charter of hungarien – croatien king Karlo I. Zabok is natural, industrial and traffical center of Krapinsko Zagorska county. Its location gave Zabok great possibilities to develop economy.

Zabok is in a hart of Croatia Zagorje  next to highway Zagreb – Macelj (on half houre driving from Zagreb). Zabok has economy zone with all infrastructure.

The late Baroque church of St. Helena (1782- 1805) with a belfry and harmoniously structured main front is cupolaed. In 1788 it was painted with mural paintings. The church was commissioned by Zigmund and Josip Vojkovic; their coat of arms is on the classicist portal.

The church accommodates the Baroque main altar, the pulpit (1786), the section of the Holy Sepulchre, three Rococo chalices (from 1778), a reliquary of the Holy Cross with a leather receptacle, a crucifix, the statue featuring the Baptism of Christ.
