Town Martinscica

Martinščica CroMapsMartinscica is a relatively youthful and very attractive settlement on the gentlest part of the Cres coastline, alongside a wide bay open to the south west.

The historical core is formed by the Church of St Martin, with a monastery, of the 16th century, and the Castle of the Sforza family of the 17th century.

Today it is a nicely arranged little place with a lot of Mediterranean vegetation that deals exclusively with tourism in private accommodation and in the large, contemporary Auto-Camp north of the village.  There are several restaurants, a confectioner’s, a tourist agency and post-office, with gorgeous beaches north of the village, and lots of  opportunities for walks in nature, all providing various chances to have a very nice stay and rest.

East of the entrance into the bay is the island called Zeča with a great number of wild rabbits, opportunities for combining a holiday with a bit of shooting.

Welcome!
