Zumberak nature park

Žumberak-Samoborsko gorje Nature Park is situated only 30 km southwest from Zagreb, and for many is still undiscovered world. Žumberak and Samobor Mountains together make picturesque mountain area which rises above surrounding cities (Zagreb, Samobor, Jasterbarsko, Ozalj). It covers approximately 333 km² and rises from 180 to 1178 meters above sea level, with highest peak Sveta Gera. It is a exclusively rural area with villages on 800 m.
The Park is cut through with deep creek valleys, steep hillsides are grown over with forests, peak plateaus and mild slopes are covered with numerous grasslands, pasture grounds and vineyards.
